Hey guys! I got a question.. I use OBS to stream Final Fantasy XIV on Twitch. The problem is..My Frame-rate is cut in half ( 30 FPS ) My PC specs are:

GPU: Sapphire Dual-X R9 280

RAM: 16GBs

Windows 7 64-bit

CPU: FX Series Six core FX 6300 3.5 GHz Black edition ( I really think. This is the problem here. )

If you guys need the rest. just ask. I was thinking of upgrading to a FX Series FX-8320E 8 core 4 GHz Black edition CPU. But maybe. Its my settings? But. I been doing it at 720p ( The game is at 1080p. OBS is set at 720p. ) Can you guys help a noobie streamer?...Wait! This is gamespot! LOL!

Wild guess... But is OBS set to 30fps?

And insulting the site you come to for help isn't going to help you...

@horgen: I'm sorry. It was more of a bad joke. So. I should set OBS to 30 FPS?...Okay! I set it to 60FPS. I'm sorry again.

Check the settings, OBS doesn't hurt your performance. Fraps would do something like that, but OBS is pretty good. Your rig is pretty solid so you should be doing just fine with your games.

OBS does hurt performance a lot depending on the game. If you were to upgrade anything, it would just be your gpu so your could use shadowplay which doesn't hurt performance.

@horgen: If I'm inside a house. Its a solid 60FPS. But if I'm in a place like Mor Dhona Where A LOT of people be at. Oh by the way! The game I'm playing is Final Fantasy XIV! The FPS hits 30 ( or sometimes 20 FPS ) like a wall of Bricks! I really think. its the CPU bottle necking my R9 280.

Guys! I have a FX Series Six core FX 6300 3.5 GHz Black edition. But when I go into my Performance Information and Tools. It says Number of processor cores: 3. Is that normal?

Just press ctrl alt del and see how many processors are there.
