Nvidia dominates every single price range right now.

I thought i'll make a little guide for those buying graphics cards.Simply put it unless you already have a crossfire capable mobo,nvidia is the way to go no matter what your budget and it's really foolish to buy any ATI card right now.

9600GT for $120.

8800GT 512MB for $175.

8800GTS 512MB for $207.

8800GTX for $290.It's a little hard to justify this over the GTS but the GTX does perform noticibly better in high res with AA.

There is absolutely no way you can justify spending $110 for a 3870X2 over 8800GTX.Heck i think 8800GTX is better than the X2 but i guess it's my opinion but $110 over the GTX is simply not worth it.So there is no card worth getting in the $400 price range.If you want ultimate performance for a single card that nothing can touch.......

9800GX2 for $550.

I hope this can help people not make the mistake of buying any ATI card right now.:)

Musacircuit; your not reading the wole truth, if i were you I would stop writing about these things cos you haven´t looked at benchmark´s.

The truth is that the Gx2 is in many review´s beaten in some games by HD3870x2, and the overall difference is not on pair at all with the 200$ higher pricetag.

Maybe I went to harsh on him, but acually i think this little war he has isn´t helping anyone here, this is a great forum for people asking things about good/bad products and hardware but all he does is slaugther ATI´s whole product line.

His fanboyism is quite funny cause I don't take it seriously. Although I do agree with him, at most price ranges NVIDA beats ATI, for right now. The 3870x2 is weird. Even though it's not Crossfire I have seen benchmarks where even an OCed 8800GT beats the 3870x2 but in other games its at the top. For consistency it sucks IMO.firefox59

You guys are being too harsh. Its not like he is saying that ATI sucks or that they shouldn't be making cards. He is simply saying that the 9600GT is a better value in his opinion and IMO I agree with him. Its cheaper than the 3870 they are about equal in performance depending on the game and it also runs cooler, and uses less power. darkplayer
