Nice upgrade you just need some more ram from what I've read certain "next-gen" AAA shooters won't even start up if you have less then 6gb of ram to think there are developers pushing the pc version of there games so far already!

Although on a more serious note more ram would be a good idea and an SSD as a boot drive to speed up general pc responsiveness wouldn't be a bad idea also. Personally 1TB would be to little for both data and game installs for me and average game install size will likely go up in the future but maybe its just me since I like to keep alot of my games installed at once I need more hard drive space.

He has 8GB, two times 4... Should be enough for awhile.

@horgen123: I didn't see the x2 if he has 8gb then yes he should be fine for a while for games.

My only suggestion is that if you're going to replace the hard drive anyway, now is not a bad time to splurge on an SSD. Despite building a brand new rig from the ground up recently, the thing I've noticed the most is not the new graphics card or processor, but the boot speed and fast read speed that the SSD gives me. I have a 480GB one and use it as my primary hard drive, but you could easily just run your OS off of a 100GB one or something like that, and still see a huge benefit.

I wish I had enough money to buy 1/2TB of SSD so I can easy place Windows and all my games/music/movies.

And boot time isn't problem for me since I put my PC on sleep and it wakes up after 1 sec ( I think this solution beats SSD in time and saving money ATM)

If you can't afford a SSD you could look at hybrid drives.

Yeah, I already own a 60Gb SSD and my point is unless you have really big SSD, it's pointless, I'm turning my PC from sleep in 1 sec.

Either you go 500Gb - 1TB for the whole deal or you don't.
