Hi guys,

i'm planning on getting a new PC but i still doubt which one i'm gonna get.

my thought were

1. complete PC with these speecs

cpu: i7 4970

gpu: nvidia gtx 750 ti

ram: 8gb

ssd : 128 x1

price 900 euro

link: http://www.medion.com/gb/shop/multimedia-pcs-medion-akoya-pc-p5373-g-310019764.html

or

2. I still have my old pc, just need to upgrade it. in that case i have to buy a new motherboard / cpu / gpu

and the specs i would like to buy is this

cpu : amd fx 8350

gpu: nvidia gtx 760

ram: still can use my old ram (8gb)

ssd: no

psu: ASROCK 990FX Extreme 3

this would cost me like +- 410 eur

But if i can sell my old pc for 450 euro i might consider getting the i7 4970 one, then i will just have to pay 450 more. But that's not garaunteed.

what is more worth in you guys opinion?

Spend more money on a better GPU and less on the expensive CPU. say an I5.

And why are you downgrading from a gtx 760 to a gtx 750ti

Um, i would like a gtx 760 combine with the i7 4970 though, but since it's already a complete pc from medion i'll need to buy a gtx 760 as addition and maybe sell the 750 ti.

From what i've been reading, streaming requires more better CPU than a GPU. and the i7 works like 20% better than the amd fx 8350. Most of the people would recommand the i7 cause it beats the amd fx 8350 in everyway but price.

I just saw a streamer using phenom II X4 along with the Ati 6870 X-Fire Support gpu and 16gb ram, he gets like 50-70 fps. while i'm getting 20-30 using Phenom II X6 1055t with Radeon 5700 series, 8 gb ram.

Maybe i just have to change my video card only?

Get Intel, it has QuickSync, use OBS, should be pretty smooth.

All you need to do is allocate specific cores ((set affinity)) just for streaming and others for the game. Also get a new gpu and you should be fine.

Erm.. GTX 600 series and above can stream using shadowplay. At most you will lose 1fps because it has dedicated hardware in the gpu to decode h264 on the fly.

Dual computer systems are your friend ... one PC plays the game, the second one captures, toys with it, and streams it ...
