Hey guys,

its been awhile before I posted on here I fell in love with the Overclock.net Forums extremely active and some extreme knowledge on there either way, just wanted some comments on my newly sleeved cables. I think i went a little to far on the heatshrink either way.

I know. I'm started to reconsider my position on whether or not I put them in my builds

Good job. They look very good. Something I would probably do if I had a clear side panel.

I like them. They only make sense on a "This will be like this for a year or more" build though.

Once its done it becomes an art. Yay for sleeved cables, a rig's interior look butt ugly without them.

Wow, that looks awesome. Unfortunately, I play with the guts of my PC way too much to do anything like that. Next case I get won't even have a window if I can help it.

That looks fantastic,

I personally don't sleeve my cables as it's generally to time consuming, plus i don't have a transparent side panel anyways so it's not like it's gonna matter much.

They look good but I sure as hell don't have the free time to do all that. That's why I just got some of these, can't tell the difference with cases that you can route cables behind the back panel. Think Amazon has red, blue, white and black.

Is that your PC? Holy smokes. Beautiful. Color coordinated and everything. So neat, and perdy... Which PC case is that? Looks like I'll have to switch..

They look good but personally i'ld prefer them grouped more, preferably grouped by a box so they're grouped in the exact same arrangement as they enter the connectors.

They look ok, but I could never imagine myself spending the time to do it. What does the red 'start' button do? o.O

It is an oboard power button. Useful for a bench setup and powering on the PC w/o shorting pins.

They're fine but they remove the point of colour coding.

Forgive my ignorance, but why is it better to seperate out the cables like this instead of keeping thems wrapped together like normal? Is it purely aesthetic?

Show off :P

Sleeving cables isn't a bad idea for cable and airflow management.

I'm not patient enough to actually do it so I just throw them in place. My cases usually look like a homeless man has been nesting in there plus I never leave the sides of the case on anyways so its just a total mess.

Your Corsair water cooler, is that the new H70 or is that the H50? How does it work? I have been reading about the new H70 on Tomshardware today and I was thinking that it might be a better direction to go since it is self contained. What are your thoughts, since you stuffed it in that amazing looking system?

Sure looks good. I personally don't care how my PC looks inside, cos i won't be look at it once it's built. Stylish case is enough for me (considering Fractal R3).

Well, there's more to it than just looks. Better airflow, and it makes cleaning easy. I always make sure that the inside of my case is always super neat, though I do not sleeve my cables like this.

Great rig, by the way. Looks absolutely fantastic.

They actually take more space when sleeved... you really don't do that for airflow, but purely for looks.

It's obviously for looks, and it looks rad. Increasing the radius by limit x-> 0+ x is not going to make a difference in air flow... or maybe it will even help if it does not resist air as much.

Slightly (which is why I don't sleeve), but it's still better than letting the cables loose all over the place. Anyway, I was speaking in general. You said you don't care how the inside of your case looks, so I assumed you meant that you don't care about cable management.

Yes, i really don't. Ofcorse i make sure they don't get into the fans or hang loose in front of them, but other than that, i don't care. E: i have modular PSU, so i don't even have excess cables hanging loose in my case.

You guys should see the inside of my PC, rubbish tips look more organised than my cables. I will clean it up when replace + add fans soon, but it will be a bit tricky with my case.

If you take some time to do some cable management, I'm sure you'll be able to make it so that you can see your mobo. Even my PC case has horrible cable management but I manage to hide all the cables, somehow! :D

When I got my new Antec PSU with sleeved cables, I must admit, they were quite hard to work with in my case. I have had to poke them into empty drive bays and anywhere else where they won't get in the way. :D

I hear ya. I'll have to admit, I put a lot more effort into my previous build, but then again, it had better cable management and an overall better case to work with.

Same here LOL. I love empty drive bays. Very convenient.
