Hello world.

I'm thinking of upgrading my HD5670 1GB Iceq.

I don't want to spend too much, just enough to run games like on high settings on 1080p without lags.

My current GPU ALMOST does that but in some games, when I switch to 1080p it slows down just a bit too much.

AC:Revelations, Skyrim, just Cause 2 works around 30-40 fps on high settings on 1080p, while Saints row the third or crysis 2 lags like hell above 720p

I'm thinking between 4850, 5830 and 6790 as they're all in my $$$'s reach.

I probably should go with the 5830 but I'm afraid I'd have to swap my PC's PSU, as I have a 400W one.. and since it's quite new I wouldn't like to do so..

Any suggestions between these cards?

Thank You in advance.

hd 7770 is what i recommend above all options TC. its fairly cheap it consumes less power than all of those options and preforms identical to a 5830 (the best card you listed)

This, also the card doesn't need additional power.

HD 7770 is better then 6850 by like 1-2FPS And When overclocked it about 10FPS higher and so it far better then HD5830 wihich come with the the poor Driver issue

but for the price you should think of the new release GTX 650 1GB it consume less then HD7770 Both Idle / Full Load but if 7770 is cheaper and you know how to overclock it a better card but you don't get PhsyX in those few title that run it

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_650_Power_Edition/25.html

so either a 7770 or GTX 650 Will Fit on a 400W PSU easily but if you ad a bigger powersupply you should check for an GTX 560 TI at 154.99$US or HD7870 at 218.99$ twice the performances for 1080P gaming

Actually 6850 is slightly faster though considering the 400W Psu 7770 is probably the better buy As for GTX 650 is noticeably slower than both 7770 and 6850 and is as expensive as those two

yeah i think 7770 a better purchase. even tough AMD consume a bit moar but i don't know the 12V Amp on is PSU but maybe he can ALSO OC HD7770 with that so it can crush a 6870 stock lol

Wow, I truly thank you guys for all the answers.

the Hd7770 1GB is probably what I'm going to get, but I'm also considering getting a new PSU and a 5850.

What would You do?

Forget the PSU and get a 7770 while keeping some cash, or just get a new PSU and look around for a relatively cheap 5850?

Is it worth to look around?

if you are gonna get a new PSU you might as well get a 6870 Faster than 5850 and consumes less power

Get a HD6870 or GTX 560 TI at 149.99$ There both fit on 500W PSU from what i know that if you change the psu check for some 550-650W in sales
GTX 560 TI overclocked is stronger by up to around 30%

also Overclocking a GPU can do like 37FPS become 44-48FPS for a GTX 560 TI when overclocked so far most benchmark show GTX 560 TI can crush HD6870 but it consume more just saying there both same price bracket

both GTX 560 TI / HD6870 can be obtain for around 150-160$ After Mail-In-Rebate
While 7850 can be found for around 189.99$ and is very strong also
