Low FPS in BF3, BF4, but the Hardline Beta was fine?

So I was always able to play bf3 and bf4 on ultra with good fps. I haven't played them in a long time, but I played the hardline beta I had no issues. I went to play bf4 today and no matter what settings I change the graphics to, im stuck at 17 FPS, same goes for bf3.

There must be a bug or glitch somewhere and I was seeing if anyone else had this issue. My video drivers are up to date. Running 780 gtx and i5 3570k. I have not noticed a drop in FPS in any other games so my system is running fine. I have uninstalled bf4 and going to reinstall, but wanted to check if anyone has had this issue.

Not me personally but as I was playing today I saw quite a few guys in chat saying the same thing.

I think it comes down to draw distances or scale. The maps in BF3 and BF3 are huge. The maps in Hardline are like 20% of a BF4 map.

the betas typically have lower maximum visual settings than the full release. are you sure this is not the main factor in the performance difference?
