Off of personal experience for what i have in my rig. HIS 7850 4gb GPU. there are alot of other cards out there that may do better, not saying this is the best. But on BF4 Ultra i dont get more the 50c max load if that. stays nice and cold and runs really well. ill post a link here but its out of stock, might try another sight. when i got it, it was 200-250. this thing should be able to handle games for a few years to come.

I have no idea where you are and how the prices work there, but the GTX 770 would be a good choice.

Not going to to find a 770 for $250 lol

But best choice would be a GTX 760 however we have no idea TC what your computer specs including your PSU. Without knowing specs GTX 750ti is a safe choice that will work with any 300w psu.

You probably have more experience at this than me, but make sure you check the dimensions of the new card. I bought a gtx 660 and it was a few inches longer than my previous card and it sits right over my sata cables. Right now im using my 2 hard drives with my dvd drive unplugged. (Not sure if I sure be mad at my gpu or my mobo for bad placement.)

Felipe bro we're in Australia, how could you even mention the GTX 770 for a $250 budget? Even in the States you probably couldn't find one that cheap for brand new. This guy, hahaha ;)

A MSI GTX 760 2Gb Gaming Edition goes for around $259... The GTX 760 is the best bang for the buck GPU under $300 and the MSI gaming edition is the best 760 available. I would highly recommend that.

wow you got $250 u can buy any VERY HIGH END card with that amount but used item (buy good condition). I recommend ebay or amazon. im thinking about getting a "amd radeon hd 7850"! I found it for only 90 USD and it can run almost anything on ultra.

you just need one that's good enough to play 40-60 fps a lot of which I found cost around 200-300 USD

To you maybe but some people have moved on to 1440p monitors hell even 4K. A 7850 simply won't cut it.

Actually it can, he said almost and he is right. There's hardly any difference between 2014 and 2012.

It will all change this year though but at this time it can run pretty much anything on ultra

It's the same card that's in a ps4.

Well he was asking for high settings

I doubt he meant 1440p monitors with ultra settings and high AA

A 7850 is the best bang for the buck at this time

Anything on ultra? you do know that ultra means AA and everything turned to the max, yeah I'm talking about 1080p and not 2.5k or above.

I want to see that GPU running Witcher 2 on ultra, Crysis? maybe some Arma? Metro?

Also it doesn't say anything if it's on console, devs are optimizing their games for consoles over decades, you can own a 1000$ gaming rig while a 400$ console could run the same game better, due to bad port.

Yes would be decent,

A 7950 would be a much better option though if you have 1080p monitor.

When you don't have 1080p monitor then a 7850 is more than enough.

Do know that the graphics card in the ps4 is similar to a 7850.
