Curious as I want to buy AC Rogue.
its alright. nothing overly impressive just another boring publishing digital storefront trying to copy steam.
What is supposed to be wrong with it? I first started using Uplay for Far Cry 3. By then, I missed out on the initial bugs. it seemed pretty good. I thought the Offline Mode was much better than Steam's.
I had tons of problems with it and Farcry 4, at one point the game was just gone and i had to redownload it and that gave me an error until i reinstalled uplay. And playing coop with my friend there was a lot of disconnects. Not really planning to buy another game that uses uplay...

It's just a glorified game launcher but works fine.
The main problem I have with Uplay and Origin is the insulting prices. They think going digital is an excuse to take the utter piss out the consumer.

I think it depends on the game and on what region.
Some Origin and UPlay games are cheaper for me than retail, while others are more expensive. (I'm in Australia though where prices go haywire with gaming)
S0 far it performs for me on par with origin. So below steam in over all experience and reliability by a decent amount in most areas. I literally only have a few games that use it as I tend to avoid games stuck with the DRM system.
There is nothing wrong with it as a launcher. The whole launcher has gamepad support, so that is something neat that only uPlay does.
Though strangely enough the uPlay store has disappeared for me.

I've used it for many years and I've never had a single problem other than it being down for an hour or two once.
No, there is nothing wrong with services like Origin or Uplay.
They just feel pointless in the grand scheme of things, especially when better services like Steam exist.
it's not bad no, the only thing is when you Format your PC and need to install the ubisoft games you need to download them, but there is a workaround, I think when it comes to backing up games Steam comes first, so go ahead and get AC Rogue on Uplay, it has achievements too
it's good but need more work to be better
The problem I have with it is it basically hamfisted it self into the market place and was completely unnecessary.. If you get it from steam, you still have to use uplay.. Its just another account you have to keep track of, and it obtrusive in offering nothing of value to the consumer. To me it is Ubi's way into appeasing shareholders, who know nothing about the industry, that they are taking steps to protect their property. I mean could you imagine the clusterfuck if every publisher did this in keeping track of games?
Rarely had issues with it, it is just an annoyance, a piece of pointless bloatware. Have had 1 game that had issues with it myself.

Speaking of which... GTA V cost most on Steam for me, not going in the store and getting the physical disc.

It is another concept for an online game store. But it is far from what Steam as to offer. Also, I think I prefer Origin than Uplay. And of course, Steam is the best of the tree.
I doubt you can miss a game because Uplay is not as good as Steam. And I guess it could get better with time.
Its my least favourite of the various third-party game launchers floating around. I just find it clunky and annoying.
Origin on the other hand I have no problem with.
I do wish that EA would basically sell stuff on Steam again... Even if I have to use Origin to actually use them, it should be fine.
I had a problem with it involving FC3 but I fixed it. I prefer Origin over Uplay.
Not me. I prefer Uplay over Origin. When the cable amplifier for my cable/Internet got fried, we didn't have Internet for two days. Steam and Uplay allowed me to play my games (offline) both days. Origin and the Social Club started looking for an Internet connection on the second day.

Oh God! I can't stand Social Club. It is nice that Steam and Uplay allow to play offline. It would be bad for Steam's business if that wasn't the case since most of us gamers buy our games mostly off Steam.

Yup. Both Steam and Uplay did well playing offline during our 2013 family road trip.
I bought GTA V through Steam. When I tried to launch it during the outage, the Steam part went fine. But, the game launch choked when it got to the Social Club part.
Maybe it's just me. But, the Social Club seems very similar to GFWL which I loath.
That's exactly what I mean about Social Club.

Eh. It's hit a miss. Sometimes it works without fail. Sometimes games fail to launch and need a couple of attempts. I've had issues with playing co-op in some games due to server instability or just being completely down.
no not at all... i hit play in steam and uplay loads then the game does, never had any issues, i just dont understand why we need another drm for those games seems abit silly, but not a deal breaker

I wouldn't say that Steam is better than Origin. I have more games on Steam, so I tend to buy games for Steam because it works well enough and I like having my games in one place, but Origin is a much better piece of software based on my usage. Better download speeds, more aesthetically pleasing style, and it works offline.
I used Uplay before it even had an offline functionality. Uplay at first was pretty unstable so that made me pissed off. It even went as far as I wrote an email to them ranting that they have to make an offline functionality because their service sucks. I have a couple of games on Uplay, so maybe I should give it another shot...
