You can crossfire, but it can be difficult to find another 7850 or 7870. What is your budget?

Replace 7850 into R7 265 - same GPU costs 30$ less

And no, you cannot corssfire with that MOBO, it got only 1 PCIe x16 slot

I have a 7850 (2GB factory overclocked version) and it struggles to run some games on ultra at good framerates. Crysis 3 and Metro Last Light in particular.

Spend a little more on the GPU, and you will not be looking to upgrade your GPU again like me, the 7950 would do.

although overclocking a 7850 can reach stock 7870 performance, but I still agree I wish I never skimped on my GPU and got something a little more powerful than a 7850.

If your in the UK this is the best value I've seen for a 7950 http://www.digitalpromo.co.uk/vtx3d-3gb-radeon-hd-7950-xedition-gddr5pci-express-30880mhz5000mhz-p-6839.html

£213 brand new

Overclocking 7870 gets you farther. He could buy a 7870 and then buy another one later on and crossfire them.

i owned the 7850 from march 2012 until february of this year. the card is the bare minimum i would go for solid 1080p gaming. It will be probably be useless though in a year, unless your fine playing on low/medium.

Thank you, and it's not a problem since this is what it says: "This memory module may run at a reduced clock rate to meet the 1.5V voltage recommendation, or may require running at a voltage greater than the Intel recommended maximum."

What it basically means it'll reduce clock rate, nothing really that important, you can swap memory dims to hyperX which is at the same price - But I personally found the Beast module as cool as G. skill's Ripjaws or TridentX/Z
