Apparently europeans, or most of them get the $70 price tag. Everywhere else gets $50.
Btw these prices are 100% up to the publisher, in this case Activision to set.

Well that sucks, why should we pay more than everyone else?

Because of VAT taxes (or at least that what I think they are called).

Tbh i've just used a proxy server and got it for $49 lol.
I like STEAM and usually i have no problems with it but the fact they gave little to no information about CoD4 until a few days before release and then they announce you can only play it days upon days after everywhere else is releasing it really pissed me off. Now after seeing that those of us living in Europe (i'm from the UK) have to pay $69.95/£33.29 for the game has pissed me off even more with STEAM.
Thank god i preordered this game for £29 from play.com atleast then i'll get to play the game upon release or close to it without forking out a small fortune.
70$ is actully not so much, where i live in Norway its 350 NOK (Norwegian Currency) which is rather little when like a 360 Game costs around 550 NOK - 650 NOK which is then like 110 - 130$ (not that im buying the game for the 360, PC is so much better for FPS), but in the avarage prices as with like The Orange Box was around 50$ here or 250 NOK. So hell I ain't complaining. Its actually a good price over here so. And its all because of the dollar value.
Damn its low now im saving a fortune buying games etc online. But i guess the reason for the higher prices for europeans is exactly because of this. As we actully pay alot less for games right now because of the dollar and apperently steam figured out that now which was about time if you ask me. Well i can't speak on behalf of other countries in Europe and the price there but atleast in Norway we get it rather cheap buying it off Steam, in my opinon so I couldn't care less.[QUOTE="thanatose"][QUOTE="Grantelicious"][QUOTE="nutcrackr"]Apparently europeans, or most of them get the $70 price tag.
