Is this a good low budget build?

With i3 and R9 380 I think 60Hz monitor is a better match but if you really want 144Hz go for it.

@employee427: Pretty sure I saw an Asus 144Hz monitor on that list :). Anyway BenQ's are good. It's a well balanced build overall.

Looks good, i would drop the SSD and buy better KB + Mouse.

Logitech G302 Deadalus Prime

And a Corsair K40.

The SSD is easily the most overrated part of any PC.

I'll pick up a cheap ips at that price if you stick with 60hz.

I have plans on getting a Ducky Shine 5 and a Kone XTD Optical later in the summer once I have more money

I think former is matte, latter glossy.

@employee427: Hello.

I just noticed that you got i5 6400 in the list.

I would strongly suggest for only like $10, to go for an i5 6500.

i5 6400 has 2,7GHz clock.

On the other hand i5 6500 has 3,2GHz clock.

So you are getting like 20% more CPU performance for just $10...

@employee427: One more thing.

Polaris/Pascal is coming (something like June/May for the reviews), so are you sure you want to buy a new GPU now and not wait for 1 month to see what new generation has to offer?

@Coseniath: It doesn't matter because I can't afford it. This build doesn't come together for at least a month anyway so I'll see.

@employee427: When I say new architecture generation, I mean an entire new line of GPUs, from $50 to $1000 (or to infinite and beyond :P).

So since you placed an $190 GPU, the new $190 GPU would perform better, but cost the same.
