Is there any purpose in buying an android tablet if I already own an ipad 2?

I own an ipad 2 and I love it. Are there any benefits to buying an android tablet as well or would it be redundant?

Throw away the icrap and buy glorious android

you can do more on android. Im pretty sure there is no torrent client for the ipad whereas there is one for android.
