I don't mean for a lot of hardcore gaming, but casual stuff.

Also the processor I'm using is Intel Core i5-2410M

Not for anything modern made in the past 4 years. But if all your doing is playing flash & older games then it'll be fine.

Well for really, really old games sure. But don't even expect to play COD casually.

I hear it's far better than either any entry-level mobile Nvidia or AMD card... but seriously... Anything newer than four or five years would strain it.

It's adequate for light-gaming, that's for certain.

You could always check out the "Can you run it?" program/scanner thing from System Requirements Lab to see if you meet the minimum requirements for games you'd be interested in. At the same time, if you have a desktop and some cash, perhaps you could get a good deal on a power supply and video card that would run games similarly to the xbox 360.

You actually can play some modern games on it. It's not completely crap, but even a $50 video card would runs MUCH, much better. Source games come to mind. Those aren't hard to run at all. Put everything to the lowest resolution and settings, then build up from there. You can get Team Fortress 2 for free. Download that and try it.

The problem is that Intel chips have plenty of bugs when running games, but nothing that bad. Google around and look at some YouTube videos. You'll find info about what games you can run.

lol, no. You'd be better off buying even a low end card like a GT 430 or Radeon 5670. EDIT: nvm I saw it's a mobile processor so this is probably a laptop.

Not against AMD Llano based APUs.

This may sound weird but what if I was just downloading a trial for WoW?

Well, you could play some low spec games - like Torchlight, WoW, Minecraft, and the Sims 3. For the most part you'll have to stick to older games though.

It is worse than the previous generation of low end nvidia for laptops.... but a nice step up from the last gen of intel graphics. It would be nice if integrated graphics could play 2-3 year old games on med... but we can all dream of doing that on a budget laptop.

It will give you at least a 15 fps in Minecraft and in a non-demanding game maby a 10-20 fps. I would never recommend this for gaming. It will on the other hand give you 30 fps in happy wheels but not for a bloody map or bottle run. I hope i was helpful.

I once attempted to play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on an HD 3000 laptop. At the very lowest settings it was playable, but at times struggling to maintain ~30 frames per second, which is like the mininum you want to play at.

People underestimate these chips, I have tried gaming on these and they are not as bad as people say, you can run most games on lowest graphics on low res if you dont mind the bad graphics.

yeah you could run alot of modern games at low settings.  I mean the hd 3000 is a HUGE leap for intel from where they used to be at.  Before the HD X000 integrated graphics, intel used to offer GMA....yeah I would be surprised if that could even run pacman.
