I want to overclock my E8400 to 3800 mhz.What should I do?

Firts of all is it possible with a zalman 7000B alcu with resonable temps and with an ASUS p5n-d ,2GB 800 mhz ram? If yes what settings should I set in the bios.Now I have it at 3.6GHZ with 1.18750 voltage with maximum 65*C with core temp.and 53 with REAL TEMP. CAN I GO HIGHER????

if i were you i would stay at that clock for now. I'd reccomend you get a better cooler because in my opinion those temps are pretty medium/high temps.

stick with that, any more and your going to be running maybe a little too hot, there's no reason to go further anyways and if you do then its not really for the gain in performance but rather self satisfaction.

Ya you only need to overclock an E8400 if you have dual 9800GX2's or want more 3dmark.

Or do CPU intense things that only suppot two cores.

I forgot to tell.I have a 8800 GTS 512 with it and it runs crysis very nice with the cpu at 3.6 every thing on high and it never drops under 40 fps 1280 1024 res.

Even a stock E8400 shouldn't bottleneck your GPU in most situations, and certainly not @ 3.6 Ghz. However, with CPU intensive games like Supreme Commander, Flight Simulator X, etc., the extra power can come in handy. Personally, I wouldn't overclock anymore. Try dusting your system/cable managment if you haven't already to lower your temps a bit or increasing fan speed.
