I'm not in a big hurry to get it, so I was wondering if I should wait till after the new year or something. I'm willing to spend a little more if it would make a big difference, I just wont tell the wife, lol. Right now I have an HD Radeon 7075, alot of people seem to not of heard of it, maybe because it's a pre-built PC. But I kind of want to stick with AMD just because I don't want the potential headache of going from AMD to Intel.

Right now I have a 460W PSU, but I have a new 500W I can put in.

Intel i7 3770

8 GB's RAM

This would be nice to get if you can stretch your budget that high. If not you can go for a 270X.

I was looking at that one before. The thing is though my 460 W PSU has two 6 pin connectors, but my 500W only has one. Plus it might not be a good idea to run that card with only 500 watts.

The 7950 uses (peak) depending on the model like 130-160watts for the GPU itself which isn't a ton of power (theres card that require 2x6pin connectors that peak at 200 or more watts).

A good quality 450-500watt powersupply should have enough amps to power it (if the powersupply has 2x6pin connectors it should be good to go unless its some god awful brand).

go with MSI HAWK if you've got the little extra money,

if you want the max performance from that GPU you can also go with this BEAST: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Radeon-PCI-Express-Graphics-11217-02-40G/dp/B00FLMKREQ/ref=sr_1_7?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1385242696&sr=1-7&keywords=r9+270x
