I Have a Cm690 and i was wondering if i were to place a small plastic bag or a small object like a bowl ( tobacco uses only ofc :P ) would that be safe? Or would that be bad for the computer? It'd be in the corner near the Hdds, but away from any major pieces or fans.

As long as it's not blocking airflow it shouldn't hurt anything. Just keep an eye on your temperatures if you are overclocking.

Probably not the best idea to keep a bowl in there, unless you keep it well cleaned. Between the heat and moving air, your room would probably start smelling of "tobacco" rather quickly.

Put your bowl in a sealed plastic bag, like a zip-lock bag.

if you have a decent size case you should have plenty of room, just don't put it next to any fans for parts that get hot, and make sure its sealed tight.

I hid cash in my case before :P but never tobacco, I just leave that in the open so everyone can see my bad habbits *sarcasm.

Edit: wow I have the smilodon case, and thats where I hide my stuff. Comes in handy but is very thin in spacing.

RedxSniper

Depends on if the sniffin K9 comes near your PC, usally vaccum plasticbag inside a sealed jar full of water is better. :(

Seriously, who ask theese questions, really?

Any kind of hiding of "tobacco" is obviously either illegal because you havn't got the age or it even illegal to use for adults, both cases it wouldn't be discussed here on a HW forum.

Or this "tobacco" is legal but you just don't want your parents finding it? And everyone else thanks for the reply. And yeah i do have the ps2 and i thought about the expansion bay but i found a better spot so it's all good.

Thermaltake makes these little draws that fit into drive bays. They're convenient for hiding things. I've been hiding a little "tobacco" stash in their for a while now. Some small adjustments can be made to put these underlock and key. Of course a great solution as well would to manufactur an internal hard drive case yourself, paint black, and put it in your hard drive cage. It'll look like a hard drive, it won't mess with your air flow (if your cage supports multiple drives, use a bay that's currently open), and no one will know unless they have a puppy.

I think he is talking about real tobacco but he is either underage or his parents will kick him out if they see him smoking.

There has to be better places for you to hide your vice besides a computer case.

it was for a 3.5'' HDD (there's an IDE cable hook-up if you glance at the top)

or a network adapter.

If you stupid enough to be imbibing in illicit substances that drug dogs are going to find it pure and simple placing thins in a PC case is not a good idea as the aromas and alkaloids that are the scent will be liberated much more readily due to the heat internally in the case. you could place things in sealed bags and secrete these in a HDD Caddy , better still just put it in the freezer amongst the frozen peas.

To show off your stash?

@op, try covering it with coffee grounds to hide the scent. Seriously though your not evading the k9 right?

You get a movable one in the Thermaltake armor too. It depends on the air flow whther it will be fine or not, best idea would be to put it in a ziplock bag and hide it behind the right side panel.

This guy is spot on, i'm both underage ( not turning 18 for another 3 months ) and my parents wouldn't be too happy if they saw tobacco with me.
