Okay so I have the EVGA GeForce GTX 470 and my current drivers is 197.75. I just checked the nvidia website for updated drivers are there are about 9 new drivers (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us)

My question is: do I have to udpate them 1 by 1 in the order they were released? Or can I just use the most recent driver which will include the previous updates?

Thanks!

You can just update with the latest. When the installer comes up, you'll have a choice of how to install. I usually go with the recommended option, which it defaults to - and I have had zero problems.

I'm running 270.61

Exactly what this person said, but I wouldn't get the 270.61 drivers, they decreased performance for GTX470, get the 270.51 and compare them yourself.

No you need to update your all drivers because updating makes good performance of grfx card.. Use game booster.. It will update your necessary drivers and enhance your gaming performance..

I see. Is it possible to update the drivers to 270.61, then degrade it to 270.51 so I can compare them?

Yes it is, thats what I did, just download both, install 1, then uninstall from add/remove programs and install the other.

Alright I'll try both drivers.

I just tried 270.51 .. My computer seems to get the blue screen (error) whenever it goes into sleep mode and turns back on. Maybe I'll try out the 270.61 drivers

Hmm I'm still getting errors. I'll try completely removing the drivers then installing the latest ones.

This is the error I get:

"Problem signature:

Problem Event Name:BlueScreen

OS Version:6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3

Locale ID:4105"

And I've read on the net that its cause of the graphics drivers. I'll see how it goes.

Well that didn't work out. What if I just keep my drivers at 197.75? Would that damage anything cause I don't have any problems with these drivers.

You can, but the 2xx drivers have shown a big improvement for 4xx/5xx card, so your missing out on performance.
