I while ago I was downloading AbiWord (using firefox) to my desktop and the download got canceled or corrupted somehow. Now I have a corrupted AbiWord executable file on my desktop that when I try to delete, it gives me an error saying "The action can't be completed because the file is open in another program". I have tried numerous ways to delete this, like using Unlocker or ending the explorer process and trying to delete the file, no luck. Anyone have any ideas? :?

Edit: I got it removed. :D

Boot from a Linux-based LiveCD and delete it from there. If the file is on an NTFS partition, you'll have to use a LiveCD that has NTFS write support enabled (such as the latest version of Ubuntu after following these steps).

I already have a LiveCD of Ubuntu 7.04, so I booted that up. The file is on an NTFS hard drive, so I read that link. The weird thing is that in the Applications menu, there isn't a system tools directory. :? An idea what to do?
