Help deleting an "undeletable" file

I while ago I was downloading AbiWord (using firefox) to my desktop and the download got canceled or corrupted somehow. Now I have a corrupted AbiWord executable file on my desktop that when I try to delete, it gives me an error saying "The action can't be completed because the file is open in another program". I have tried numerous ways to delete this, like using Unlocker or ending the explorer process and trying to delete the file, no luck. Anyone have any ideas? :?

Boot from a Linux-based LiveCD and delete it from there. If the file is on an NTFS partition, you'll have to use a LiveCD that has NTFS write support enabled (such as the latest version of Ubuntu after following these steps).chaos386

Try removingthe download infofrom the Firefox download manager, then deleting it.

And, in other news, i just got the Red Ring of Death on my 360 :cry:.

Right click on the file and hit deleteBlackStalker
