I have the same case, it's awesome.

Looks like its an intel chip mobo (or is it Nforce?) If its intel based, crossfire would work better than SLI I believe. Also... the 3870 has higher specs than 8800GT only prob is its running on 2900 drivers. It's been going around that once new drivers are released soon it will get even better. Also it runs a lot cooler and quieter and uses less power than the 8800gt. Plus I believe its single slotted so you can go crossfire easily.

Crossfire is the AMD version of SLI. I don't know from personal experience as I haven't ever done either but I've heard that Crossfire is more effecient than SLI.

Thats correct. Crossfire is much more worth it than SLi. I would get a HD 3870 instead of a 8800GT tho.

Which means i will have to get a amd as well, which i wont. The reason why is that the intel is better at overclocking imo and i want the ability to upgrade to the new penryn processors, dont get me wrong, i dont have a problem with amd.

SLI or 3870? You can't combine the two lol. Unless you mean crossfire. Still though see how 1 works out for you and then get another later if you think you need it. That's what I'm going to do.

Also with new drivers around the corner, it'll perform even better. If only they had as good drivers as Nvidia does then 1 3870 would be like a 8800gtx but for 1/3 the price, a lot less power consumption, cooler and quieter lol.
