I assembled my pc about a week ago. Ran fantastic. I turned it off last night, get up this morning, and it won't turn on. Press the button repeatedly, nothing. It was running fine yesterday, today nothing. I didn't touch it or modify anything, just poof.

It's plugged in, the power light in the motherboard is green.

I have no idea what the problem is. Can anyone help? :(

There is a green LED light that is on my motherboard that is lit up. Here is what the manual for the motherboard says about it: "The motherboard comes with a standby power LED that lights up to indicate that the system is ON, in sleep mode, or in soft-off mode."

I have no idea why that should be. I have unplugged the computer numerous times.

Check to see if anything has been shaken loose inside the cabinet

I don't think it has. I checked the wires.

A little bit of googling shows that I may have a complicated problem here. :?

I'm assuming you made sure the power button connector was snug on the motherboard? It's amazing how they sometimes find ways to come loose even when you don't touch the computer.

Replaced the PSU and nothing. I had an Ultra and bought a Corsair to test the PSU. Same garbage-- the green LED light on the motherboard is on, but I hit the power button and it won't start.

Plugged it in and nothing.

Completely at a loss here. If any super bright person can help, I would definitely appreciate it. I really hope this is not the mobo, not looking forward to replacing that.

check the power switch connector, those annoying small pin connectors usually placed at the bottom of the motherboard.

Everything seems to be working for now. I hope this problem does not arise again in the future.

No idea. It seemed to resolve itself once I reset the CMOS.

Everything is back to normal now.
