This is the SuperSuperClocked variant of a GTX 970. Basically an overclocked version of the regular 970 that gets about 10%-15% more performance. It also comes with improved fan cooling as well. Regularly $350-$370.

Seems like a pretty good deal if people wanna make the jump for a new GPU. It also comes with The Witcher 3 as a bonus.

I would buy two of these but due to lack of solid games i'll wait for the next die shrink (damn this has been a depressing generation, good hardware but awful games)

the earlier revisions were high risk for this. You need to pay close attention to the model number - the newest revision quietly made significant changes that provide better cooling, less chance of coil whine, etc. You want the 3975. Looks like a really nice card in its current state (the 3975)

ya i hear you. I'm not exactly sure what happened but i got my 970 back in december 2014 for around 360 dollars, the same exact card is now 420-430 dollars. is our dollar really that worse or they just using that as an excuse to crank the price up beyond what the dollar really went down to.

anyways im glad i bought the 970 when i did or i'd be paying almost 70 dollars more for it now.
