Escape From Monkey Island 5?

To all of you swashbuckling treasure hunting escape from monkey island fans, I have a question. Will there be an escape from monkey island 5? ive read all of the rumers and reports, but they dont seem to have a clear answer. They say that they will make it in 2015, then again the United States said we will stop using gas by then too (which is a lie). any one know more than i do?

We wont see another Monkey Island game, it's been too long now and developers seem to think that no one wants to play point and click adventure games any more. Besides, even if it was true that they plan to make another one, it wont be the same since the orginal development team have since moved on to other things.

I would love it if the saga came back (but with Ron Gilbert, of course!!!).

I personally don't think it will ever happen, but my friends in Wolrld of Monkey Island have the following research:

Even if there is a Monkey Island 5, who's to say it'll be released on the PC? LucasArts is hardly a PC developer any more.

And more to the point, considering the quality of LucasArts games and considering that all the good employees work at either Telltale, Crimson Cow, Hothead or Double Fine, would we even want a Monkey Island 5?

Telltale taking the license, or just making a game called The Mecret of Sonkey Biland starring Liebrush Reepwood, would be infinitely preferable.

That article says nothing about a release in 2015. It says they will stay dead and buried until AT LEAST 2015.
