Do you think 2008 will be a great year for PC games?

Both StarCraft II and Spore are likely to be released in 2008. Those two titles right there set 2008 above 2007.foxhound_fox

It will be a great year in gaming for me as long as there is the release of two games: Alan Wake and Half-Life 2: Episode 3.

I am also looking forward to reading the previews for Mafia 2 - another very anticipated game

Yes. If even half of the games scheduled for 2008 hit home, 2008 will be even better than 2007. Two early releases, Empire: Total War and Sins of a Solar Empire, if they're as good as they look, will be all I could ask for in 2008. But there's lots more coming.

I think 2009 will be a better year myself mainly because we should see alot of ports from the 360 we want and exclusives like spore and episode 3 and maybe portal 2? and Gears of war 2? GTA4 might come to PC in 2009 and even Gears of War 2 and Mass Effect etc etc.

2008 will be a great year to own consoles. PC however really has nothing I'm anticipated for besides Spore maybe. Assassin Creed is porting over so that's cool but I really want new IPs.

Edit: maybe they'll announce a Sims 3.

Personally, I not that happy to have to wait 2009 to collect the xbox dust. I fear 2008 and 2009 will be the year M$ will try to kill the free online play. Let's hope we will survive.

Anyway, I think 2008 will be like 2007, we will still getsome good game made by serious develloper we trust (2008: Spore, Starcraft 2, Hl2:ep3,maybe Dragon Age...)+ the surprise of the year from unknown develloper( for example in 2007: the Witcher, Stalker, Sherlock Holmes: The awakened, World in conflict...)

Not only 2008 but from 2008 the standards of the games are gonna increase..The 2007 is only a mere shadow of what is to follow..The main reason being the incresing number of gamers..And also the CONSOLES developed by the various companies..Each CONSOLE trying to beat the achievents of the other will surely result in better games with some cool graphics..

And btw 2007 was not a great year for games..It was only the last quarter which was really awesome with many many great games coming out for all the next-gen consoles and also comp..

So 2007 was only a trailor of whats in store for the future..So upgrade ur comp..get in all latest hardware software cos boy we r all in for a treat..RU GAME??:)

I'll second that. TW games always have amazing gameplay, and from screenshots E:TW is starting to approach photorealistic graphics.
