I just built my rig, installed Vista, everything seems to be fine. But on PC-Wizard, my RAM only comes up as 4GB PC-6400 (399MHz) - [DDR2-800].

My mobo is an ASUS P5Q PRO and I just updated the BIOS. In BIOS, RAM speed is set to AUTO. When I set it to 1066MHz, it's all good (no noticable changes). But PC Wizard still shows the same.

Does this mean that, when set to AUTO, it's actually running at 1066MHz, and that PC Wizard is just wrong? Or is there actually some issue? Is there any other way I can check the RAM speed?

There is no problem, you are using DDR2 RAM and 399Mhz X2 = 800Mhz (Almost)

Except that the RAM is 1066MHz...

edit: I just realized the link to the RAM is broken. Fixed.

CPU-Z 144.2: in the Memory tab, it only says it's 4GB, all the other fields are greyed out. What does that mean?

Usually it shows the RAM brand, RAM speed, etc... BTW in Everest mem benchmark what is the score (at least you know it by the position/rank of your computer is)???

Usually it runs at 400mhz, it's rated at 1066 because the company says it's capable of running at that speed.

He's right. You can go into the BIOS and change the speed from 400 to 533, but you won't see any added performance.
