Dead Space 3 co-op question

I want to play a game with my brother (we've played Fear 3 before and loved it) and were both interested in Dead Space 3 but wonder how the co-op works. Can we play through the whole game from beginning to end (like in Fear 3) in co-op or just a selection of missions? We want to share the whole experience, so to speak, so we don't buy the game just to realize that it's just a few missions we can play together. I would also like to mention that were plying on PC so it's Origin we have to look to.

@Izak80: It has been a while since I played through but DS3 uses checkpoints instead of manual saves. Reach a certain point and the game autosaves.

that is a game I bought but never played. I should visit my origin account and play it sometime :)

I played through it with my wife. It was pretty fun. Enjoy.

Way less scare, lot's more action.
