I'm creating this thread to have a big collection of all possible Day Z standalone related things, I'll keep updating it with news articals, videos, interviews and even leaked footage. If someone allready did a similar thing like this on the gamespot forums for Day Z standalone than sorry for not noticing.

The standalone version of Day Z alpha is at the moment planed to come out in June or July.

http://www.vg247.com/2013/05/28/dayz-standalone-limited-alpha-test-begins-public-alpha-on-track/

It's gonna cost only 5 euros during it's alpha stage, it will become more expensive as the game starts getting more content and more polished, beta will be 10 euros and the final product will be 15 or 20 euros.

Here's what i got so far, i would appreciate if you could share things iv'e missed.

When they showed the game at E3 looks like they have a lot of work to do. I think the interview was stating that the AI was only like 50% complete or something. I really want to get into one of these type of games and The War Z just seems to broken and plus all the drama that came with it.

Honestly, after seeing Watch Dogs, The Division, The Crew, GTA V....seeing the new technology has really put a damper on my hype for Day Z. What they showed at e3 looked buggy, blurry and really unfinished. I really hope they can pull it together and polish it up. I loved the original Day Z mod.

I have been playing the DayZ Breaking Point Mod lately. I cannot wait for this game.

I think Bohemia will have trouble resparking the buzz around Dayz that was so overwhelming and exciting a year ago.

I think the elements that made the mod so compelling need to be woven into a much more robust game, there are already some variations on the mod that are probably more interesting than the stand alone at this point, Origins and Breaking Point being the primary examples.

If rehashed gameplay is your thing, then sure. I don't care about polish. There are already dozens of "Watch Dogs", "The Divisions", "The Crew", etc. - these are all game concepts don't offer the superior concept and gameplay experience of DayZ Standalone. I want a unique game with unique ideas. Not "generic open world game with small twist" that people seem to be so amazed by these days. An open world game full of scripted elements? Never seen that before, I can barely contain my excitement

Just too lazy to research. Will this be online only with pay to win store or can be played offline?

Sleepyz

neither, its a multiplayer game with a server structure similar to that of a MMO but I don't think it will have micro transactions.

I felt the same way. It feels like a year since they announced a stand alone version and what I saw at E3, while expanded, looked exactly like the mod. I guess I just expected more after its been so long.

Cool. Thanks. Watched the E3 gameplay with Dean Hall. It's still way too early, but so far it looks like a more polished version of the already DayZ mod. Definitely looking forward to it but I'm not sure if I'll be joining the Alpha/Beta.
