Sup peeps.. i've now got this case but my mobo can only run pwm on one fan.. the other fans will be run off the psu.. is having all fans running at full speed ideal? I only play games btw.
1x 230 intake
1x140 intake
1x 230 exhaust
1x 120 exhaust

@GTA_MGS_1: Having all the fans run at full speed may be less than ideal. First, some fans tend to generate a good bit of noise, which may or may not bug you. Secondly, running the fans wide open may be completely unnecessary for your setup (temp wise). I would run the fans at factory default speeds until other factors force your hand (i.e. high ambient temps, overclocking, long play times with intensive games, overheating parts, etc.).
Having the fans run at their intended rpm wont hurt a thing, the fans used in the HAF series cases are quiet and last for years my 2008 HAF 932 still has two of the three 230mm fans and 140mm working just fine it being on nearly 24/7.
Pc fans will run full speed off the psu, is this correct?
Yep. So depending on the fans this could get really loud.
Keep the fan setup the way they are in the case.... that will give the best cooling.
so
140mm rear fan
200mm top fan
200mm side fan
230mm front
the case is made for positive pressure which means more intake airflow then exhaust.

Wrong, so wrong. I have a Half X and you do realize we're talking about cooler master right? The fans are quiet, even the big ones. Also, it's a great case, it cools as well as liquid as long as the room isn't really hot. Definitely go for it. But if you don't have multiple GPUs I would look into the smaller one, I think it's HAF 922 or something like that. I kinda regret having this GIANT case with barely anything in it. PS I also overclocked my CPU and GPU and temps are still perfect. I do have after market CPU fan though.

lol, what? The fans will run on max speed. And depending on their type it could get loud, I don't know what kind of fans he has installed. Also what's considered quiet differs from one person to another.
@harry_james_pot: The case is a HAF X, hence all the fans are cooler master, they are quiet...it is not loud. I have it...I don't understand why you're arguing, only fan that is loud is my aftermarket CPU fan because of the overclock or my GPU under high load.
I'm not arguing. He didn't say if he's using the stock fans or not, and quiet is a subjective matter, so I warned him that it COULD get loud. But you went ahead and said "Wrong, so wrong.", when In fact I'm not.
