I was bored today and configured two build using parts from newegg, how are they (i ddin't buy them... yet...)

Things i see wrong with the 1st one If it's a budget build get a dual core, that's a crappy quad anyway, E54/7400. 4GB is fine SATA DVD drive just to be sure HDD you might as well get 16 or 32mb cache and a larger one. The only cheap PSUs i would recommend are Sparkle or FSP 2. If the difference is really $20 to jump to a GTX260/hd4870 then there's no reason to back down to a 9800. For both, if you really want a budget build you'll get a $50 mATX board with on-board graphics and then upgrade your video card later. If you downgrade to 4GB you can probably get a 20'' monitor on both builds.

Why. Whats even the point. Hell, new games take up a gig or two at the most. System takes up 250mb-750mb, and i can see having 1.25 gigs for leeway and browser stuff and such, but why would you need 4 more gigs than that.
