The disc comes with the win95 version of command and conquer. I have the game installed on my comp now (thanks to the disk..disc?) but it is telling me I am missing a file even though I installed it. Can anyone tell me what I can do? And is anyone else having this problem?

I just posted this question on their forums so I am thinking they will know more. But if anyone here knows it might save some time for other people.

I haven't tried my C&C1 yet, but try running it in compatibility mode - right click on the .exe and go to the tab and select "Windows 95"

Yeah I did that I found out what it was though...well someone helped me on the C&C forums. This is what you do. One download this ftp://ftp.westwood. com/pub/ccgold/CCGOLDXPPATCH.ZIP (take space out) this lets you play the game on 2000 and XP but takes lan off :( then you need to run the came in compatibilty mode.

Oh I was just given a file that lets you plan lan now..here it is
