Civ beyond earth or civ starships?

For a first timer which would younreccomens tackling first between the two? I never really fancied the franchise but the new space theme has me intrigued, any suggestions?

Beyond Earth is where you'll have the most fun. Starships is a pretty shallow mobile port.

both stink really..Beyond earth is really shallow as well..Its no civ five..Cant believe civ team did such a horrible job..There getting shallow like other developers in the industry watered down proterties..Shame on 2k for going that route..They need to bring there respectability back..Hoping civ 6 will be at least decent..It took 2 expansions to bring civ 5 back from the dead..

Skip Beyond Earth. Get Civ:V complete if you can.

If not, grab Endless Legend.

go for Civ 5 if you havent played it yet... then if you have maybe Starships cause its a quick easy game to get into. I didn't like beyond earth much, but its an alright game if you never have played civ 5 before and dont know what you are missing

Starships doesnt have much in common with any civ game, its basically just turn based combat game where you jump planet to planet and wipe out your enemy, there isn't much difficulty once you learn basics

Beyond Earth, Starships is a pants mobile game really. Telling someone to get Civ5 instead when they said "the new space theme has me intrigued" seems a bit pointless to me.

From what I have read.. Neither.. Beyond Earth from what I read is a glorified mod more or less with absolutely nothing unique about it not to mention being inferior in every way to the game before it.. If your looking for a space based strategy game, I would recommend you look else where..

Starships isn't really a full game is it? Even if it is it is just a mobile port so go with Beyond Earth. Civ 5 Complete Edition is a much better game but obviously it's not space themed.
