How are the gigabyte 780 oc WF3? They are on sale right now or should I get 290x? I dont care about temperature or money. Just need a high-end sli or crossfire gpus for my 1600p display. I might only keep them till 20nm come out.

This is kinda urgent, I have no gpus right now, gave my 7970 to my cousin, You guys told me to wait till the 20nm come out, but thats atleast 7 to8 months of waiting, cant wait that long.
Is it the 780 "ti" your talking about?
No, but do you think its worth the price over the regular 780? Then I can get one now and another one later this month.
If you can get the 780ti go for it.
Why? the best nvdia gpu is always a ripoff, and Im only planning to keep them till 20nm gpus come out anyways.
The GTX 780 WF3 is able to be overclocked past 1ghz allowing it to match and surpass the 290x and 780ti, So its a good choice
If you can get the 780ti go for it.
And do you think I can even tell the difference between 780 and ti at 1600p?

Do plan on overclocking? Because stock vs stock in games like Crysis 3 there is 5 fps difference while Metro LL and BF3/4 you can see up to 15 fps difference at 1600p
If you want a fast single card while you wait for 20nm then get a third party 290 (not out yet but should be soon) and overclock it to 1050-1100mhz
If you want dual card (or are buying a single card with a strong possibility of buying a 2nd one later down the road) get the 780 (SLI driver as a whole fair better for dual GPU's).
1600p is a really demanding resolution so a 290 at 1050-1100mhz is the lowest I would go. Luckily you don't need much AA/AF at 1600p which is good because those settings are usually the ones that cripple your system.

This guy has too much money to burn. Donate to charity you'll live longer.
7990's are selling for $1000 on eBay. He could be selling it so he can get a new one.

I could of swore second post down he stated he has no GPU's at the moment and I quote: "This is kinda urgent, I have no gpus right now, gave my 7970 to my cousin,"
Unless of course he's already sold the 7990.
