on a GPU, I don't need much search parameters though -AMD -Single Core I'm pairing it up with a 1100T. Also, is there any reason for the 5870 being more expensive than most 6000 series?
the 5870 has basically more raw power only the 6950 seem to get the same performance in games with less power. Also the 5870 price is probably higher because people who want to crossfire that already have a hd 5870, simple marketing techniques.
Ok so what would be best to pair up with the 1100T, the 5870 still seems better than the 6950 (considering the stream processors etc), I would like to play The Witcher 2 and Crysys at max maybe?
6950>>>>>>5870 Faster and more future-proof (more VRAM, better scalability in CF, much better tessellation performance). And, the 6950 uses considerably less power.
Ok guess I'll go with it. 1GB or 2GB version (and are you guys sure it's got only one core) and what wattage would I need on a PSU for the 6950, 1100T, 2 HDs (one of them Caviar Green), Cooler Master ATCS 840, Crosshair IV Formula? Thanks for the replies so far.
