Hello everyone ,today i googled about Assassin's Creed system requirements and i found this :

Assassin's Creed system requirements rumour:Ubisoft's award-winning and record-breaking third-person stealth game, Assassin's Creed is due to hit the PC soon, but official system requirements have yet to be publicised.

Although this is a rumour the following may make you cry...

Minimum System Requirements :

OS: Windows XP or Windows Vista
Processor: Dual core processor (Intel Pentium D or better)
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Video Card: 256MB Direct3D 10 or Direct3D 9 with Shader Model 3.0
Hard Drive: 16GB free hard disk space
Sound Card: Vista compatible sound card
Other: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive, Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller (optional)

Recommended System Requirements :

Processor: Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo or better
Memory: 3 GB RAM
Video Card: ATI HD2900 series, Nvidia GeForce 8800 series or better
Hard Drive: 16GB free hard disk space
Sound Card: 5.1 sound card
Other: DVD-ROM dual-layer drive, Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller

i know that the system requirements above are unofficial but do you believe the official sys. req. will be the same???

thanks all

(sorry for my bad english)

LoL, I could run Crysis with a p4 3ghz, 1gb of ram and a 6800gs card. If this is true, I will travel to France and give a slap on Ubisoft director head. I only got 2 gb of ram on my pc :(

In my experience, minimum and recommended specs are always higher than they need to be. It's base covering.

I think these are higher than they actually need to be (bearing in mind that Crysis runs on less quite comfortably) - assuming it's even real.

I think more realistically we're looking at 2GB xp and 2.5GB in vista, and a 7950 should be able to run it smoothly. Anything else is just poor performance from the developers - who by the way have another month or too to iron out the creases.

Unless you can invent a 1.5gb ram stick then I doubt. Dual channel basically means to take pairs of the same ram stick modules, example x2 1gb sticks and utlizing them on your motherboard. 4 gigs is conisder as dual channel due to two ram sticks on the motherboard example x2 2gb sticks.

No. You have to have an even number of sticks, placed in the correct DIMM slots on your motherboard, indicated in its manual.

You could also do it (on some motherboards) with x4 1GB sticks.

I remember when the Stranglehold system requirements (which were unnofficial at the time) were posted on the web and it was like "4GB Reccommended" and a Core2.

Turns out - they weren't real.

so no, I don't believe that.

want to see something truly ridiculous though? Look at Guitar Hero 3's requirements :P.

I desperately hope that Ubisoft is not that moronic... because if VALVe can get the Orange Box to run on 4 years old hardware than I really think AC could be done as well. It is sad to see so many developers not give PC games any effort anymore. They are just giving up on such a large portion of the market.

Yet this is only a rumor. Very, very likely that these are false cause Ubisoft usually optimize their games on PC.

Wouldn't matter to me though, cause I can still play it.

mo0ksi

HAHA they USED to. Ever heard of Graw 1? GRAW2? Splinter Cell:DA? they beg to differ with that statement. If AC really does require 16GB then I don't need it that bad lol. I'll wait for SC:C
