Theoretically, someone can be addicted to anything, including but not restricted to poking oneself in the eye with a plastic Taco Bell spork while tap dancing to David Bowie's Space Oddity and eating Pocky. If the question in the topic title was intended to be directed toward individual readers, although it should've been phrased "are you addicted to Gamespot," I would say that I am not the least bit addicted and that this is in fact one of several online communities I visit, and not even my favorite. Also, wrong board.
haha, yes!
i check gamespot every few hours for interesting forum topics - or replies to my comments
but then again, i am an archetypal geek who experiences all socialising, more or less, vicariously through the wonder of the internet and also i try voice chat with the bots in counterstrike, but they don't usually answer my questionsÂ
If you skip work/school or are trying to escape life, then Gamespot could be your drug of choice. You do not have to break the law or have sex with people you would not normally, so I guess being addicted to Gamespot isn't the worst thing in the world.

Addicted? No. No, I can quit whenever I want. Really. I just don't want to, that's all. :?Shut_Me_Up

Gamespot, is mainly a game preview/review site. So why in the name of poop would I spend all my time here? I'm a PC gamer and PC gaming has been long dead. I had hopes for Stalker, but no, its just another RPG **** with highly unoptimized graphics, so it lags on my machine, which is far better than the recommended requirements. I am sick of RPGs and RTSs, I have nothing agains those genres, but I play games to chill, to relax, to have FUN. And all these new PC games are all about reading hundreds of pages of text to get 'immersed' in the story (hell, i can read a book instead) and improving skills, and all that **** I have had enough. The only good fun easy-going games come out for consoles, and I am sick of that exclusivity. Then, if its not exclusive, its ported real bad. And so on. I'm sick of this **** The last fun commercial PC game i've played is FEAR, that game had a great story without over-loading your brain, and the gameplay was so entertaining.
Thanks God there are independend studios making fun little games to keep me alive these days. Anyways, I do come here quite often, hoping to find a fun new game, but I would never stay here all the time, too much **** in the gaming world these days.
I'm here almost everyday myself. I wouldn't say I'm addicted. Gamespot rocks but I don't NEED it. I just like it. It's ok man, really. I've got it under control. IT doesn't control "me." Seriously, would you let it alone already!? I SAID it's under control! I don't come here too much! What's your idea of too much anyways?!
What, because you don't come here everyday that makes YOU normal and ME addicted?! Gimme a break! YOU'RE the one with the problem, not me! So leave me alone about it already OK!???! If I was addicted I'd bloody well know about allright!!? Now quit naggin' me already....you're makin' a big deal out of nothing......i've got it under......hmm....there's another post I can make......:D
[QUOTE="Nerfing"]I think I've been here since 12:00am and it's 5:00am right now. : - /BounceDKGS should have some multiplayer java games hehe :) Oh and call it :::: Time Killer!! Awesome! That's a brilliant idea. Why doesn't gamespot a site about games have some online games for you to play. Or even review on-line games flash or java?
This might be a better topic for the Off-Topic Discussion, but yah, GS is like a video game and rather addciting in many ways.
