But check out Rosewill power supplies, they are pretty cheap, and pretty good. I also don't understand why you would spend so much on your cards but get a cheap power supply though.

Rosewill's one of the worst companies out there. Some of their units are decent specs and even performance-wise, but the build quality is low, meaning you have a much higher chance of having a DOA power supply or just having it fail on you in a few years.

As previously stated, if you can afford dual 8800GTX cards, you should NOT be skimping out anywhere else. You better have a quad-core processor, at least 2GB of RAM, a high-quality power supply, monitor bigger than 22", etc. Basically, the works. You shouldn't be cutting corners anywhere.

i don't think Cheap adn effective/reliable fit in the same catagory.

But anything, the Corsair 620w Modular PSU is amazing!

You are going to have to get better then the Corsair 620 watt P.S.U. if you want to SLI the 8800gtx. Read this article and decide which supply that you want. http://www.legitreviews.com/article/348/1/roulettethedog

I wouldn't trust any of those PSUs to run 8800GTX other than the TT750w.

Neoseeker isn't a bad site. Find a PSU that you like and then look it up and see if there are any reviews for it since they link to other websites. I don't typically read their articles, but their links to other websites are useful.

You might be able to get by with something cheaper, but I wouldn't suggest it... it depends on the rest of your components.

Do you have a QX6850,4GB,dual 10K RPM Raptors in RAID plus another data drive, dual DVD drives, etc.
or do you have an E6550, 2GB, single 7200 RPM HD, single DVD, etc.
... and ... do you want to be able to upgrage later?
