Hi,

I'm planning on getting rid of my trusty old Dell 2007 WFP.

I'v been looking at a few, like the BenQ 24" LED XL2420T and the reviews are pretty good. Any other recommendations?

yamakasi catleap 1440p IPS. they are on ebay. although i dont reccomend buying from ebay. lots of peeople get ripped off. just make sure you either get an IPS or 120hz screen. or else you will see no difference. i have an LG IPS tho and it has horrible ghosting.

Don't be to sure about that. You want better colours, go for IPS. Dunno how the new PLS panels from Samsung are. Colourwise the TN monitors have been prett much the same for ages I believe.

Could be, although after further researching the monitor i found that the default presets are supposedly OK to good, but some people report that if you take your time and tweak the monitor you can really great quality colors.

All in all, i think i'll go for this one. Thanks for the feedback guys!

So 120hz is really worth it after all?

For me yes. Youve really gotta play some games on a 120hz display and feel the smoothness. even the desktop is smooth the mouse doesnt skip around like it does on 60hz. gotta experience it for yourself. you probably think your 60hz display is smooth enough and it cant get any smoother. its kinda like trying to picture a color youve never seen before. you have to see it first

You and me both.  I play BF3 at 100+fps, no vsync on my 60hz monitor. THank goodness BF3 has very little screen-tearing that it's barely noticeable. Although, I don't plan to buy a 120hz monitor until I get another GTX 670.

Love my Dell Ultrasharp (U2711) if you've got the budget for it. I also recommend benq, haven't been disappointed by them yet.
