Burnt out on my games...looking to maybe go old school...

I'll start by saying I basically play every AAA game that comes out, and most new games in general. I love MMOS, I love RPGs, and I like shooters as well. Nothing is better to me than an RPG with deep character customization (skills armor weapons etc), companions and a great story.

I just finished a month of Wildstar and before that a month of ESO and am feeling burnt out on both of them for now. Watch dogs was meh, replayed New Vegas and FO3 in the past year, and have basically played every good RPG to come out in the last 5 years to death (or so I think.)

I am looking for something new to draw me in. I keep going back to KOTOR, old it may be, but I cant hear enough good stuff about it. Is this a game you guys would recommend? and if so, should I go with the ipad version or pc version?

other suggestions are appreciated as well, especially good games that may have slipped under my radar.

What about some old school shooters? How about Quake III, Unreal Tournament 2004, Max Payne 1 & 2, Serious Sam 1 & 2.
