Built my PC but cant get WoW over 30 fps....... help!

My specs are PII 940 4GB 1066 Bfg 260 gtx...and I cant get wow over 30 fps and it even dips to 19 in some areas.....please help!!

what size is your monitor, and what resolution are you running at. Oh and what setting....Turn off Shadows and the FPS will Spike up BIG TIME :-)

Do other games perform to your expectations? If so, blame it on the game settings (maybe lower something that your system aint dealing with well). Otherwise, drivers!

Yah, some of those addons, and graphical settings can really bog down a computer even with great specs. That's WoW for you.

first drop v-sync then drop your use of multi-sample if you have its a bugged setting. on an hd 4850 you should get roughly 49-79 fps with occassinal spikes up ti 140 frames (assuming a low resolution, on a higher one you will have a different picture entirely)
