Hey guys I was just curious what you think of my components I am buying?

EVGA 8800 GTS 320mb card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814130038   $299

Thermaltake 600watt PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817153049 $124.99

Corsair Value Select 2gb (2x 1gb) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145098 $75.99

 ABIT Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLI Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813127022 $126.99

Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 Processors http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819115013 $114.50

I am basically canabalizing a few components from my older system including my Chieftec Dragon tower, Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS, 120GB Western 7200 RPM hard drive, Sony Dual Core dvd burner, and another Sony CD burner.

I was mildly surprised at the price of the RAM by corsair no less..

I'd opt for a slightly larger Power Supply. What you have now should run everything, but you may run into troubles later with your next upgrade. It would cost less to get the larger supply now in the big picture.

edit: ignore me. 600W is fine. Heh, don't know where my head was.

The reason why I chose this board is because I am a avid fan of Abit.  This board already comes with a overclocked bus and had a very great review out for it with being very big bang for the buck.  The only thing it lacks is fire wire which I have through my sound card..  And I may plan on getting another 8800 GTS when it lowers in price way later on.

I only plan on using one PCI slot to begin with so only having two is nothing much to think about.

From what I have read about the board it is very very high performer, and thus why I would like to use it.

I would upgrade the RAM from:

CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Desktop Memory - Retail

to:

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 675 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-5400c4 - Retail

or

CORSAIR XMS2 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 675 (PC2 5400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model TWIN2X2048-5400C4PT - Retail

depending on if you like black or platinum heatsinks.

They will run faster with lower latency (4-4-4-12) than the other RAM for only $4 more.   Better performance even if you don`t overclock.
