BG2 mods

This is my first time playing baldurs gate 2 (and its expansion). Are there any must-have mods? Im looking to improve the experience rather than change it as ive never played the game.

The only one I can recommend is the widescreen mod. The game still looks good at 1280x800.

first time through, I'd second the widescreen mod and add Unfinished business. UB mod adds in some contents and quests cut off from the vanilla BG2 due to various reasons.

if you get through the first time and enjoy it, we can talk about other mods in detail.

BG2 mods are great and then some, but vanilla BG2 is great game in itself, unlike some overrated game that's somewhat decent only because of mods.
