The Steam weekend deal, Dark Athena 75 % off.

It's the remastered version of one of the best FPS of all time.

Plus a pretty solid sequel. All in all 30-40 hours of high quality gaming.

I haven't played the Dark Athena portion, but at that price, it's more than worth it for Butcher Bay alone.

Never lost a manual or serial before for a game? Or a game disc?

Steam saves you from all that.

What about people who get a present for xmas, a console version of a game.. then buy the pc version becasue its way better (Team fortress2, Bad COmpany2,etc..).

There are legit reason why people buy another copy of a game, weither because they lost the game, serial code, disc or want the better pc version.

Ahhhh, gotcha guys. Yes, if you loose things I guess a re-purchase is needed....also if you had the console version then buy it for PC it's valid. I was more referring to people who have the retail version and then just go and buy the Steam version.... are there people like that?

Hmm. A tempting deal, but I have a hefty backlog of games I'm very much looking forward to playing. Guess I'll give it a miss.

Well the original game doesn't work off the disc on my Win7, so I'll probably buy this for the 'remastered' version of the original. Would save the pains of finding patches/ fixes.

Whiteblade999

Do you really need to activate it that many times?

and this is one isn't that bad because if you read it, it says once you activate it 3 times you have to wait 30 days and then you get another 3 times

If you have limited activations of any kind you are basically renting the game as opposed to unlimited activations. Had a game that ran out of activations before and had to spend 5 hours on the phone with someone in India to play what I payed for.

@whiteblade

Why would you want to re-install a game 3 times in one month? It's basically to stop someone sharing their steam account with more than 2 other people in the same month, I see it as a non-issue to most potential buyers.

Notice: After activating the third time your product using TAGES a 30-day timer starts. After 30 days you will get that activation back up to 3 total activations.steam

I support the original poster's sentiment. A chunk of quality gaming for the price of burger, and considerably less cheaper than a value meal. That's the way to look at it. 8)

Yup for the reason i just stated lol. If you have a laptop its so much nicer not having any discs to lug around with you. Worth the extra few bucks imo

Thats kinda your fault for using all of them. It isnt renting the game. It's closer to selling you like 3 copies a month. Do you not play BC2 either? This isnt bad at all. If you think it is you should go play console games instead

Do you REALLY need to install it on more than 3 computers at one time?

I picked it up. I never played Butcher Bay and I've heard so many good things about it. The TAGES isn't that big a deal. It refreshes in a month if by any chance you use your 3 installs. Plus the game is $5! Can't complain about that.

It's really not a good reason not to buy the game. You made good choice :)
