Battlefield 1942 installation error

when i try to install battlefield 1942 when it gets to 90% it says "Speciefied componet cannot be found in media. An attempt was made to access a componet that does not exist in the named media", can someone please help, i know it cant be the video card because its a GeForce 7600.

Are you on vista by chance because this happened to me for like 10 times and then bingo it installed just keep trying

Im using window xp, and this is the 3rd or 4th time ive tried to install it

I have Battlefield 1942 Deluxe Edition. It's installed fine from XP to Vista to Win 7 (plus several hardware combinations) with no problems. I'd say the TC's problem could be disc read errors which could be blemishes on the disc or something else.
