I was wondering if anyone knew definitively what the system requirements will be for Assassin's Creed? I've done some searching but cant find anything.

Anyone know anything for sure?

I plan on getting it for the 360. My roommate, however, is opposed to the 360 for some reason, and cant afford a PS3, so he wants to get it on the PC, and i was doing him a favor by looking for specs.

I'm just guessing, but maybe the recommended specs will be something like the double of the recommended requirements of PoP: TT.

yea. the sys req.s are definitely gonna be high. i would say around Crysis, probably a bit higher, due to the expansive cities. you will defnitely need a good graphics card, and a fast processor.

Well assassin's creed looks very nice but will not be as hard as crysis who ever said that if a 360 can run it smooth surely it aint very hard if you dont have much money go out and get a new pc looks for these specs:

intel core due e6700 2.66GHz
2GB ram
Geforce 8600GTS 512mb

its only £500 where i amand thats is better then a 360 it has dx10 what 360 doesnt havemysecondcomputerissamespecanditrunseveryniceandhighover60+iplayedcrysisdemoeverythinkhighigot30fpsandcrysisismuchmuchpowerfultorun

Yeah but the AC PC version has been delayed till february, which, I don't really know why, they say it's optimization, but man, that's a very long Optimization period, so I bet that question will be answered in 08.

There are better games coming out this month anyway. Hell, most of them have already come out, seems like there's just a few FPS's left. Then it's "Holiday Season" time.

We definitely won't know for quite a while. The game doesn't come out for PC until February. Official specs are released at most a month early and even then can change.

I would't worry about the system reqirements. I don't think they're planning to pull out a much better-looking version on the PC. Today, a good gaming rig is quite affordable.

Personally, I'd lose the Core 2 Duo over an X2 5200+, which is more than enough for gaming, and rather invest in an 8800GT. This chipset sometimes beats the 8800GTS and is close to the GTX. In other words, it WILL hold up against any game for the next year with little or no compromise. 2 gigs are always welcome. Even 4, on Vista. The rest is easy.

And if the PC control system will suck, add a dual shock gamepad :)

Not quite so. Look at Splinter Cell 1 and 2. Besides, they want to really blow your mind with this game. I really wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure they're doing their best and it will come out ok in the end.

Starting here, of course:

http://www.google.com/search?as_q=system+requirements+assassins+creed&hl=en

Which leads to here, naturally:

http://www.ubi.com/US/Games/Info.aspx?pId=4474

And no such thing exists publicly, let alone any estimates of requirements - too bad.

apparently you haven't read his post well... and second, the 5800+ is faster than some core 2 duos, and third, he's right to say that what really matters with either processors is a better graphic card

it's better to have a 5800+ and 2 sli 8800 gt than a quad core with a 7900gt...

Splinter Cell 1 and 2 were debatably both lead versions on PC, with the consoles getting the ports. Double Agent, GRAW and Vegas were all extremely poor ports on the PC front - and given that those games are more recent, they are more relevant.

I agree with you, though - I think ubi wants to make good with Assassin's Creed, to get back all its lost customers in time for FarCry2, but seriously, Ubisoft has been showing no PC love recently. Hopefully that's what the PC delay is for. I think things are gonna turn out great

As for specs, I'd guess something like a 7800 / 2gb ram / dual core cpu to run it nicely. Probably an 8 series if you want it running on maxed out settings.

I played the beta version. I can't tell anything about it, but the game was running soothly they just need to tweak the controls a bit. There was less glitching on it than the x360/ps3 versions. Just wait a bit.

I bet the minimum specs will be around this:

Pentium 4 2.8Ghz, 1 GB Ram, Nvidia 6800.

and recommended are something like this:

Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB Ram, Nvidia 8800 GT.

The 8800 GT will surely run it no problems and all maxed up.

i am going to guess that it would need a single very fast prossesor and a dual core for recommended settings 1gb ram for minimum and 1.5gb ram recommended and a vga with at least 256 vram (x1300 and up for ati) and (nvidia 6800 and up) actually maybe less since crysis has atleast that's what i think much better graphics than assassin's creed and i run it on medium and some settings on high and really fast

The nice man in EB says February. Hopefully I will have my new computer well before then to play the game.

lol, you should have seen the look this other guy gave me when I asked him when he thought EP3 was coming out. He was like "Are you kidding me! It hasn't even been announced yet! 1-2 years!" What a jerk. I was only asking.

The official system requirements have not been put out yet since the game is still being optimised for PC..only then will we know whether we can play it. Lets hope the ol' 5700FX is still compatible aye?

The RAM looks good, I'm just a little worried about the video card...

But who knows right? If a Xbox360 can run it maybe it won't be as high as some people are thinking...you might be out of the woods!!

That would be a much better card especially for the future! Make sure its a 512mb model.

They're not that expensive either $300-400 (au). Depends how long you've had your old card for also and again what the requirements for the game actually are.

It would be a better GFX card but i would save your money until you see the specs for it released, you won't need to upgrade your GFX card for a while with the card you have, as long as your not a GFX junky and aim for the best GFX everytime, GFX are nice but it costs money and you might as well save it for when you really need an upgrade, the nvidia 9000 series is coming out soon and those cards are gonna be awsome but gonna cost alot of money and when they do come out all other GFX cards will go down in price, I have a nvidia 7950 GT 256memory, 2gb of ram, intel core 2 duo 6300, and I run crysis with a decent framerate at 40-55 frames, this game is gonna be good but not around crysis, you should be good man, just don't go with the highest res and you should be fine :)
