Hey! Funcom now has an offer to try and make old players to try out the game again and this offer makes it possible to reactivate your old Conan account with 2 weeks of gametime completly free!

http://www.ageofconan.com/upda tes/#/uk and this is for US players http://www.ageofconan.com/updates/?utm_id=419

All of you people that bashes AoC all the time because it was bad at release should try out the game again and if you still hate it then you can keep bashing it but then you at least know WTF your talking about. This offer should be a proff that the game indeed is better now and Funcom is fully aware of that if people gave it another try then the subscription numbers would increase alot!

I would try it out of I didnt have to reinstall everything all over again and download the inevitable patches that have been released since I stopped playing.

Thanks for the heads up, was contemplating giving it another go seeing as I have plenty of time now, but like others I dont fancy the hours of reinstalling, gulp.

Probably check it out again...resubbed not too long ago though and only played for a few days. Game seemed much improved but honestly MMO's are getting boring for me. While AoC had the promise of "visceral active combat" in reality it's pretty much exactly like other MMO's...which is just spamming the same actions over and over in the exact same order.

If you have to download the whole client. Not nearly as much if you have the hard copy. I'd recommend reinstalling for anyone who thought AoC had potential but quit due to too many problems at launch like myself. A lot has changed and I'm really enjoying it.

There's been a lot of these lately for MMOs. I've had EVE and LOTRO offerings for a free week for old players in my mailbox several times. I wonder what's going on.

Having never played it, I've been wondering something about this game: Are there lots of players who make female characters just so they can run around topless?

...I probably don't even have to ask, huh? :P

[QUOTE="SpaceMoose"].I probably don't even have to ask, huh? :PQUOTE] Nope. I didn't really enjoy my few hours playing AoC. The environment felt really confined for an MMO. There was almost no option to explore.

yeah lol this is the only thing keeping me back from going and installing aoc again as i would need to leave it on over night to get all the patching done and then some with my slow internet connection :( altough i will probably get to it as free is just around my price :D
