Anyone game on a wireless mouse?

I'm using a Roccat Kone XTD at home for games and a Logitech G700 (wireless) at work.

I quit using the G700 for gaming because it was so damn heavy and the battery life sucked so bad. Still I really like my G700 as far as ergonomics and the feel of it.

Now I love the Roccat for gaming but I do wish it were wireless and I'm kind of considering picking up something.

Anyway my G700 has me wanting to use a wireless again....any suggestions?

I use a G700s an is very happy with it. Battery life is allright with me, I just remember to let it load over night every second day or so.

Yeah I like the G700 a lot but it's heavy to me and like I said I'm not crazy about the battery life.

The new G602 is also wireless and is kind of a remake of the G700. It's lighter and has an amazing battery life....looking very seriously at it.

You may go with Razer Mamba and Razer Ouroboros

I'm looking at the G602...and it looks nice.

I had the g7 nice ergo I guess is similar design to g700 (a bit bulky if I go back now since I'm used to the ooblong-y g9 design).

Maybe look at the razer or the ones that has wire and wireless design.

I had the Mamba for a while, the battery was terrible. I later used it wired and noticed that the battery actually bulged out as if to explode. Nothing worse than having it run out at the worst possible time and having to hook back up the wire just to keep going. Made it kinda pointless. Packaging was very nice though.

I use a wireless mouse, but only games I use keyboard and mouse for are RTS games, RPG normally turn based and Football Manager so its not a big issue if mouse runs out of battery mid session

Ugh. Only the most casual of PC gamers use a wireless mouse. That 0.0000000001 second delay could be the death of you.

Well I tried the G602....taking it back. It's DPI is too low for me...decent mouse but compared to my Roccat it's....lower quality or something.

Well it got 2500DPI, kinda low for such pricy gaming mouse.

G700 here as well, I don't have a problem gaming.

I'm curious of the difference between the g700 and g700s.

Yeah I watched that but I'm curious about weight and battery life mostly. He didn't really address those things for some reason.

I have come to the conclusion that the Logitech g700 and g700s are the best wireless mice out there.

I got a new rechargeable battery at best buy...Duracell long life ion core. By battery time went from 3 - 4 hours to probably 8 hours before needing recharge. That's pretty nice. My only complaint now is that I can't make it lighter...it's pretty heavy.

There're no light wireless stuff.

You could buy as alternative wired light gaming mouse with a bungee.

Well I'm using a Roccat Kone XTD at home at the moment. It's a really fantastic mouse, I was just wanting to go wireless.

Just bought a corsair raptor wired gaming mouse, never known precision like it I won't go back to wired for gaming now.

You got a new wired mouse and won't go back to wired for gaming now? I don't understand....did you mean you got a new wireless or you got a new wired and won't go wireless again or am I just misunderstanding?

I have a Roccat Kone XTD that has DPI up to 8200...fantastic mouse. That said the G700 has 5700 DPI and I can't really tell the difference. The g700 is really great....just a bit heavy imo.

I used to and didnt really have any problems. Just didn't care fr changing batteries all the time.

I was thinking the same thing myself because I'm sick of wires, solved that with a mouse bungee - no more anooying mouse wire tangeling.

I have the Logitech G602 and absolutely love it. Feels great and the DPI is plenty for me. Sorry you didn't like it.

@BSC14: +1 for the GS700 or GS700s. I needed wireless for my cockpit and it works great.

Depends on the game dude. Some don't need instant response times.

I did like it, had a good feel and I liked the button placement. Only problem is that I have gotten used to a high dpi and that particular mouse is a bit lower. I probably could have gotten used to it but I didn't really give it the time.

Wireless has come a long way in the past 5 years, but it still has a bit of lag on games where you need instant feedback (like FPS online, PvP real time MMOs etc). That lag, even if so small, can make a difference between killing someone or them killing you (internet lag of course also is a factor).

But for most games that don't require that instant feedback, wireless is fine. I use wired cause I got tired of recharging the mouse.

I hate gaming with a wireless anything, but if you don't plan to play any multiplayer games then it's not so bad.

But I'm also not sold on the idea of wireless accessories for my PC anyways. My keyboard and mouse are literally 2 feet from my desktop, and they will always be that way. I'm not risking tripping over wires or anything like that.

I don't know man, I use these two high end mice every day and can't tell a difference at all. If there is, it's not enough to make any real world difference...certainly not enough to make any real performance difference in games. IMO anyway....I just don't see how it would be possible in any way considering I can't tell a difference between wired and wireless when using the g700/g700s.

one of the cheap ones from k-mart. I like cheap peripherals, they work good when they're wired; and I can replace them when they eventually break. They just didn't have any wired mice at k-mart last time I needed a new one.

hmmmm....have you ever had a higher end mouse? Sometimes it's worth it.

My biggest issue is the range. The one I have starts to cut out when I get more than a 3-4 feet from the dongle (is that the right word? heh). I'm guessing higher end models have better connections? That alone would make it worth it because wires do tend to get in the way sometimes.

I just took my m700 mouse about 15 feet away to my coworkers cubicle and it worked perfectly.

Wireless has come a long way and these days it's sometimes impossible to tell the difference.

For example if I'm playing an MMO I really can't tell, but it's noticeable for me in games like COD and Battlefield 4. The scoreboard also reflects it cause I always get better score with a wired mouse.

Wireless mice are 125hz unless they specifically advertise they run at 500hz. Only like two or three mice actually do that.

125hz is 8ms of input lag and is very noticeable. It's even more noticeable on a 144hz display as dragging windows is actually stuttery due to the low polling rate.

I'm no expert on all this but I see this on Logitech's site about the g700: "G700s maintains a consistent 1 ms report rate"

Don't know how true it is but...

That actually is 1000hz, so there shouldn't be any input lag to worry about.
