personally I smell another vanguard, not necessarily in the sense that it will not be completed when launched, but just how bad its going to flop.

Thanks for the post man, the more and more i hear and see about this game, the more i get excited for it.

"The world of Conan was written to be dark and gritty. This game captures that and augments it 10 times. You wont find any Heroes here...No Cavelry to the rescue...the only happy ending is the one where you split your enemies head open" :D

"Let me tell you now, this games greatest strength is in the Game immersion. Funcom, in my mind, did this right. They want to put you in the pages of a Conan Graphic Novel. In this they have succeeded."

"I would also like to give a shout out to the best scene Ive had in MMORPGs to date....After thwarting the a Sorceress' enchantment atop a volcano...the volcano erupts and just when you thought you had won...its time to run for your life. Escaping the volcano's fury was a heart pounding dash down the mountainside racing to the exit....exploding boulders falling all around you... the ground was shaking (7.8 on the Riechter scale)...you hear enemies screaming , many engulfed in flames only to die in a burning husk.....priceless!" 8)

Godammit so many friends are buying it on release day and pressuring me to do so.

Looks damn awesome, but honestly im going to leech buddy keys first, no matter how awesome the collectors edition is.

Havnt been this excited for an online RPG since Ultima Online!

That would be fun:-).

Will probably chose a european server this time around though. When i played SWG i played a US server, and that was highly inpractical (live in Oslo Norway). Way to many late evenings turned into late nights borderline early mornings. Most of the guys in my guild was like 7 hours behind me.

My normal getting ready for bed time was their getting ready to play time lol

Think i read somewhere in the forums that you could have 8 alt's , and that you can chose to have all on one or 8 spread over several servers.

This is not confermed officially as of yet. That info should be available at the "real" launch.

This game sounds fantastic. I applied for a Beta Tester position a while back but I never got an E-mail back so I guess I failed ;)

Thanks for that link, appreciate it alot.

Cant wait for it to be released, hopefully it wont be a disappointment.

I am sorry but I DID Beta testing on this game and it is not going to be anywhere near as good as the hype. Maybe it will get better after six months or so but I really think the game is unfinished and full of bugs that will kill a lot of enjoyment from the get go. As the reviewer in the article mentioned, you had better make sure you have ALL the system requirements just to run the game. If you don't, you had better hold off on this one until you get a better setup. My biggest "gripe" with this game is that it just is not much fun in the early levels. The controls are weaks. The graphics are only so so. But, if you don't want to take my word for it, go ahead and put up the money and try it. Or, hold off and read some of the reviews from other players after the first month and let them spend the money first.

You did beta testing. But did you do open beta stress test with the debugger running in the background? Or did you participate in the closed beta?

Did you play with an older computer or is your rig new?

If you have the horsepower, Age of Conan runs in dx10 with exellent graphics for an MMO. Also looks great in DX9, again if you have a newer rig set up for gameing.

If you have an older single core computer with less that great graphics card and not enough RAM, you will have a bad experience and the game will run poorly and look not to great.....
