If I was looking into buying a prebuilt rig,WHat would be cheaper,I dont really care about looks.I just want enough power to last me a few years.

Then building your own would be a great choice.

Alienware and Dell are pretty much the same. (belive Dell own alienware can anyone confirm that?)

If you are willing to collect some info on hardware you can make a very powerfull PC compared to a prebuillt at the same amount of $.

your better of looking at alienware as Dell has recently decided to focus less on gaming machines in the actual 'dell' range and more in the alienware brand.

I'd stay away from both of them. If you want a rig with great performance for cheap but can't be bothered to build your own, I recommend checking if your local stores have any good bargains. At least my local IT stores have their own brandless builds which are naturally a lot cheaper than branded ones.

Look at other companies:

ibuypower

cyberpower

aeoncraft

buyxg (good site)

falcon northwest (can't afford it)

digital storm (probaly the best PCs in the industrie next to voodoo)
