I have my upstairs PC set up with a router that is wired to the internet, while broadcasting wireless internet to my PC downstairs. My downstairs PC can detect and use my upstairs PC's internet connection just fine. But how would I LAN and/or share files between these PCs?

depends on if you're using XP or Vista how you go about it...

Try setting the computers' workgroups to the same thing... that way both computers can see eachother. Then one of the easiest ways to share files, etc. is to simply right click on any folder on one of the PCs, go to Proporties, and change the folder to a sharing folder... you can then see it from the other PC via my network places/viw workgroup computers

If have problems with this try running a few of the connection wizards (accessories > comm.)

For real ease of use you can then map the network drive, but first just get it working ^^
