1080p trouble with games on gtx570 vga to hdtv

i need help... i tried mafia 2 demo and wouldnt let me play higher than 768p... bulletstorm wouldnt display at all. is this a problem with cord? or the games? or should i bee using a mini hdmi to hdmi cable? i have my card set to 1920x1080 and settings work fine on windows... help please

its just that the mafia2 didnt have an option for it. only 1200p or somethin like that so i figured not all games supported it tho... coulda been just the demo tho

I would blame this 100% on the vga cable, not the best choice for HD resolutions, use a hdmi cable

Just get a HDMI cable, and try that. Will only cost like $20 for a good one.CuRle_

ok how do u get 1920x1080 on crysis warhead? (it downloaded before crysis for some reason) the highest it lets me choose is 1600x1024 or something like that...do i need an update or patch

oic..its a sony bravia xbr6. and i think i did have it set to normal instead of wide. but bulletstorm and mafia had the options while crysis doesnt. ive been reading u gotta dl an extra file or something for crysis warhead???is this true??
